What Every Musician Needs To Know About The Body
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Shingwaulk Auditorium, Algoma University

This two-hour workshop covers basic Body Mapping concepts, with particular emphasis on breathing, articulation and the upper limb (arm, wrist, hand). There will also be opportunity for some musicians to work on application of the concepts in a master class setting for the last 45 minutes of the workshop. Body Mapping Research

This research study investigates the role of Body Mapping in piano performance. With this study, we will see whether pianists show signs of enhanced performance abilities following a one-day workshop in Body Mapping.
