Dr. Roberta Gary has been Professor of Organ and Head of Keyboard Division at College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati since 1967. Her CDs released on Arsis label include Liszt/Reubke, Organ Music of Franck and Bach’s Art of Fugue. She presents organ recitals and master classes throughout the US, Canada, and Europe and her concerts are represented by Independent Concert Artists.

Dr. Gary’s interest in movement began as a way of dealing with effects of childhood polio and led to certification as an Andover Educator, along with husband Thom Miles. She has contributed substantial information for organists to the book “What Every Pianist Needs to Know About the Body” by Thomas Mark. Dr. Gary is available to teach various lengths of courses, especially to organists and keyboard players and offers private lessons in organ with emphasis on Body Mapping principles.

Inestimable Value

"The day-long course was of inestimable value to students and faculty. Clear and direct, Roberta and Thom's presentation made a lasting impression on all of us.

Their ability to diagnose the causes of various technical problems was brilliant, and, in a remarkably short time, they were able to effect substantive changes in the students' ease and fluency of using their bodies at the instrument."

David Higgs, co-chair, Keyboard Department, Eastman School of Music, Rochester NY
