Mezzo Soprano Christine Meadows has performed as a soloist in concerts and opera throughout the U.S.A. Highlights of her singing career included two seasons at New York City Opera, performances with the Orchestra of Mallorca, Spain, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony, numerous American symphonies and opera companies. Since returning to her childhood home in Oregon, she appeared in more than 20 productions with Portland Opera and has been a frequent soloist with the Oregon Symphony, Opera Theater Oregon and many NW music organizations.

In 2006 Ms. Meadows accepted a position as the Professor of Voice and Director of Opera at Portland State University. She was honored to receive the 2012 Maseeh Award for the outstanding Fine and Performing Arts Faculty Member. Ms. Meadows incorporates “Body Mapping for Singers” into her Vocal Pedagogy course and Applied Voice lessons. She recently gave Body Mapping lectures and master classes at Soochow University in China, Ave Maria University and Frost School of Music. Many of her students have been competition winners, invited to young artist programs and have their own careers and singers and teachers.
